My project, Amelia, focuses on empowering women travelers by fostering a safe environment through community and overall safety. I have always been nervous to travel solo, and that is what led me to the name of Amelia (named after Amelia Earhart). Amelia is a mobile application for information on all things travel. You will be able to find what you need to feel more comfortable traveling solo. Scroll through blog posts, reviews, and business highlights to plan your trip at places you will feel safer going to. Access to crime notifications and an emergency button for extra precautions will help calm the nerves for solo travelers.
